Smart Classrooms
To promote Smart Education, Jeddah Grammar International School offers IT facilities with centrally maintained IT equipment that develop opportunities for teaching and learning by integrating learning technology, such as Interactive Boards, computers, specialized software, projectors, audio/visual experiences and networking. The notion of implementing smart classrooms is to promote active and collaborative learning, student-teacher interaction and enriched educational experiences which play a crucial role in instilling 21st century skills in students. Moreover, such methodologies also create a fun environment for students!
We provide all levels of maintenance and technical support school-wide and also for our parents:
• Install educational equipment (Smart Boards, Internet connection, etc.) and related software
• Learning Space Design & furniture
• Servicing and Renovations
• Smart Tools Training (for both staff members and parents)
• Provide User Login Details for e-books (McGraw Hill, Collins, Houghton Mifflin Harcout, Letterland) and School Management System (HAL ERP/ReachApp)
Library
Our school library provides a relaxing facility and the initiative that encourages children to read for enjoyment. The library’s main focus is to inspire and stimulate the love for books in every student. The library offers a variety of materials which support the creative development of the students. We have a selection of information and fiction books. The library has more than 3,000 books in its collection. Most of these books are brought from the USA, making sure they are age appropriate.
Students can choose and read a book either alone or with the help of the librarian. From Grade 3, our students can borrow a book on weekly basis. A reminder is sent home if a book is overdue, damaged or lost. The lending process provides the students with a valuable experience and teaches them the values of respect, taking care of things and responsibility.
In the library we encourage the students to create art like story, colouring or writing; share and play collaboratively with puzzles, magnetic blocks, kinetic sand; and challenge themselves or others using games or tongue twisters
The School Library offers range of Resources to the students. It has a spacious reading room and it provides open access to its users. These resources are provided to cater the specific academic needs of the students.
The Library has a well selected collection of Books, Journals, Periodicals and Newspapers. Encyclopedia’s, journals, reference books and fiction is made available to all students. New additions are constantly made in order to keep the library abreast of the latest.
Health Clinic
JGIS has a basic health care facility within school for its students. The clinic has necessary equipment to meet the minor urgencies of the students. The clinic is run by two qualified trained nurses who specialize in caring for students in an educational environment with the goal of managing the students’ well-being, so that their academic success is not hindered.
We make every effort to promote hand washing and teach good hygiene habits to our students. Routine check up on hair, nails and personal hygiene is performed on a regular basis.
Please keep your child at home if he/she has:
• fever or has had one during the previous 24-hour period.
• a heavy nasal discharge.
• a constant cough.
• symptoms of a possible communicable disease. (These are usually sniffles, reddened eyes, sore throat, headache and abdominal pain plus fever).
• Lice.
Transport
The School provides bus facility to its students within Jeddah area. Transport for JGIS School is operated by the School Administration through a transportation company which is licensed by the Ministry of Transportation, Saudi Arabia. Our buses travel on fixed routes picking up students along the route and each bus also has a nanny/bus monitor to assist students and maintain discipline in the bus.
NOTE: In case of non-availability of space or limitation to the routes, the school reserves the right to refuse the transportation facility.

Extra- Curricular Activities at JGIS
JGIS is known for providing a balanced learning platform to the students where they can develop their whole being in diverse areas, be its academic, sport or other non-academic activities. Extra-curricular activities are an integral part of our school. Each term there are well planned and enriching activities for the students to be involved. These activities help students to recognize their potential and groom their talents further.
JGIS Sports Activities and Event
Sports activities play a crucial role in enhancing student’s concentration, memory, and strength. This will not only help students to stay fit, also encourage them to perform well in their academics. Our students regularly participate in sports activities conducted by the school under the supervision of trained sports teachers. Sports Day is one of the major and most awaited events of the year where the students get the opportunity to showcase their abilities.
